Melissa A. Hayden, PhD, FACMG, DABMG

Dr Hayden graduated from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2007. She is a diplomate of the ABMG, a fellow of the ACMG, and is certified by the NY State Department of Health as a director of molecular genetic testing. She earned a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral fellowship training in clinical cytogenetics and clinical molecular genetics at The McLendon Clinical Laboratories of UNC Hospitals in NC.

Dr Hayden serves as technical director of molecular genetics and genomics. She is a member of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the Association for Molecular Pathology. She has authored articles and abstracts published in such journals as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Prenatal Diagnosis, and Hereditary Cancer in Clinical Practice.
