Dr Lin graduated from Peking University, China in 2000 and received her PhD in medicinal chemistry. After many years’ research work in medicinal chemistry and clinical chemistry she decided to start a new chapter of her career. She completed her fellowship in clinical biochemical genetics from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2016. Prior to joining Labcorp, Dr Lin worked as the assistant director of biochemical genetics laboratory at Mount Sinai. She participated in the development, evaluation, and implementation of new diagnostic methods and new projects; signed out cases; provided consultation to physicians regarding genetic services and case findings.

Dr Lin is certified by the New York State Department of Health as a director of Biochemical Genetics. She serves as an associate technical director of biochemical genetics, Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology (CMBP). Dr Lin was a member of American Chemical Society and American Society for Mass Spectrometry. Her research interests are in the clinical diagnostic applications of mass spectrometry for metabolic disorders. She has authored more than 20 articles and abstracts published in such journals as Clinical chemistry, Journal of Lipid Research, and Nucleic Acids Research.

Dr Lin lives in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and has a lovely cat. When not working, Dr Lin enjoys hiking and watching movies.
