Wenjie Jack Chen, PhD

Dr Chen graduated from Fudan University in 2000. He earned a PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa and completed postdoctoral fellowship training in functional genetics at Harvard Medical School and Mass General Hospital in Massachusetts with Cooley’s Anemia Foundation Research Fellowship.

Dr Chen serves as senior variant scientist and team lead and was awarded Laboratorian of the Year in 2017. He has authored more than 20 articles and abstracts published in such journals as Blood, Journal of Medical Genetics, Clinical Genetics, Human Mutation, Genetics in Medicine.

Dr Chen lives in a suburb close to Boston. When not working, Dr Chen enjoys traveling, gardening and watching Patriots football.
