Dr. Strickland brings a strong track record of leadership and scientific expertise across core laboratory disciplines, with more than seven years of progressive responsibility within Labcorp. She most recently served as Site Director for the Raleigh–Durham operations, where she led large-scale laboratory teams, strengthened operational performance, and drove strategic initiatives to support sustained growth.

Her previous roles included Clinical Laboratory Director and Associate Technical Director, where she oversaw high‑complexity testing, operational readiness, quality systems, and regulatory compliance across multiple laboratory environments. Prior to joining Labcorp, she completed a Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System, where she built deep expertise in analytical systems, assay development, and clinical interpretation. She is also a Board‑Certified Clinical Chemist through the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and serves as the co‑discipline director of biochemical genetics for the enterprise, leading conversations around launching new tests in preeclampsia, inborn errors of metabolism, aneuploidy screening, and lysosomal storage disorders.

Dr. Strickland earned her PhD in Experimental Pathology from the University of Virginia, where she was an active member of the Graduate Biosciences Society. She holds a BS in Biochemistry from Roanoke College, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Outside of Labcorp, she serves on the scientific advisory board for Roche’s preeclampsia committee, is a board member of the ADLM Pediatric and Maternal‑Fetal Medicine Division, and acts as the ADLM liaison on the CAP/ACMG Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Committee, where she helps develop proficiency materials for CAP PT Surveys. On a personal note, she enjoys reading novels, watching sports (UVA basketball is her favorite), and trout fishing with her husband and son.
